Tidbits
Played a little NL $200 at Absolute last night. The blinds are .50/$1, and that's how it was listed in the lobby, so I thought it was a NL $100 table. When I looked around, though, $100 buy-in covered all but one other person at the table - and since I knew who he was (and to be a good player) I didn't expect to get into a huge pot with him anyways. So I sat with $100. Got cold-decked for two orbits, and then picked off a few tiny pots. Then I hit a nice $65 pot when I flopped the idiot end of a str8 holding 87s. I was a little nervous about the hand, but the other two in the pot were both playing with about $30, and one had been playing quite loosely. I wasn't letting that one go in that situation, and I got paid for it. I punched off the table up $42.
I played about 3 orbits on a $2/4 FRLH table also. I just happened to see that one was going and decided I could play it ABC style and still pay full attention to my NL game. I overplayed JJ when a K flopped and got down about 5BB, but got it back when my 66 flopped a set later. I made about $1.50 off that table.
That was all the poker I played last night. It felt good to bank a winning session. I spent the rest of the evening working on my website, trying to find some additional poker bonuses to promote. Also trying to make a comprehensive listing of the bonus offers for poker, and organize then in a coherent, efficient manner. It's very time-consuming for me as I am not a trained geek - I have to learn by trial and error. Mostly error, I think. In the meantime, I post the new offers I find in the forum, so check there for bonus offers until I get my new (and hopefully improved) listing set up. I also post some of the links in the right column of this blog, but there's usually some additional info in the forums.
